About Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin

Menomonee Falls is the most populous village in Wisconsin, with 38,527 residents in the 2020 census. It covers roughly 33 square miles in southeastern Waukesha County, a size it reached after annexing the rest of the Town of Menomonee in 1958, which grew the village from about two square miles to 32.

The Town of Menomonee was created in December 1839, and the village itself was incorporated in 1892. Its name honors the Menominee and Chippewa peoples who lived in the area.

History You Can Still See

Reminders of the village's past are scattered around town: the Main Street Historic District, the Garwin Mace Lime Kilns, and the story of the Wisconsin Sugar Factory, which operated from the 1890s into the early 1900s and employed up to 500 workers. Mill Pond Park and the village's other green spaces add to the setting. Wherever mature trees stand near older homes and streets, regular inspection keeps them safe for the next generation.

The village is also a business center. Kohl's corporate headquarters is here, and manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson and Briggs & Stratton have been major employers. Menomonee Falls appears on the Arbor Day Foundation Tree City USA list, with 21 years of recognition as of the 2020 list.

Reading the Signs in Your Tree's Leaves

Colorful autumn leaves showing signs of bacterial leaf scorch, highlighting tree health issues relevant to tree care services in Menomonee Falls.

Leaves are often the first place a tree problem shows up. Bacterial leaf scorch, pictured here, causes browning along leaf edges and can look a lot like drought stress. Symptoms like these can come from disease, drought, root damage, or other stress, so it takes a trained eye to tell them apart.

Whenever you notice leaf browning, early color change, or thinning branches on a Menomonee Falls tree, we can inspect it and explain your options before the problem gets worse.

Menomonee Falls Tree Care Questions

How often should mature trees be inspected?

We recommend a professional look at least once a year and after any major storm. Catching dead branches, cracks, or fungus early makes the safest and most affordable solutions possible.

Do you handle storm cleanup for businesses?

Yes. We work on both residential and commercial properties, and emergency service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Is winter a good time for tree work?

Often, yes. Frozen ground, snow cover, bare branches, and dormant trees all make trimming and removal safer and easier to plan.
